Anthem of the Angels takes place in a modern fantasy town, and is an action story with some romance. It focuses on the main character Maria and is written mainly from her point of view. The story is set off by war and prejudice, which seems to be impossible to resolve. There is violence, gore and swearing in this web comic, so it is not recommend for younger readers.

About the Author
Hi! My name is Veronika. I'm a Slavic Canadian that is still in high school.
I have been an artist for almost 3 years now, though I truly believe that I only became a true artist a year ago. For a long time I wanted to start this webcomic, but never got to it simply because I kept remaking the plot. When I finally got myself together, I realized what I got myself into, but I did not want to give up such a great story.
I was inspired to write Anthem of the Angels by one of my favourite songs back in the day: "Anthem of the Angels" by Breaking Benjamin. I wanted to depict that sadness of losing someone close to you since at the time I lost a dear friend. Over time I began to put more meaning into the story, until I ended up not only depicting that sadness of a loss, but also showing how in the end deep down inside we're all human, no matter how different we are, and we should be treated as so. Since I was (and still am) known as a freak, an animal, I wanted to write something that shows that a title doesn't matter, who you are matters most.
